UNREQUITED LOVE 🤍✨
UNREQUITED LOVE
as we frequently state, unrequited love hurts. what about the unexpected butterflies, though? how about the times they make us blush? what about the unexpected circumstances when we make a little eye contact with them?
yes, it hurts to see them with someone else. but what about all those birthdays, when they wish you a happy birthday despite the fact that you had absolutely no expectations? that one wish, and only that one wish, doesn't it make your day? although you can't invite them to your birthday party, just thinking about them makes you grin in selfies.
even if you are aware that you have no rights over them, you nonetheless desire to protect them from every harm. you express all your concerns about them to a common buddy. you wish you were in their shoes every time they get into trouble. you simply record everything in a journal rather than expressing your emotions to people. even your journal adores you when you write those sentences about them.
it's not that we, the one-sided lovers, simply love to brag about it. we're not even sure why we genuinely adore them! we also don't understand why we shouldn't love them... our love is something which even makes the atheists ask God to preserve the wellbeing of their loved ones. yes, this is a different aspect of the story. or perhaps this is the more positive side of the story which doesn't ever let us down.
one-sided love doesn't always hurt. in the most unexpected ways, it makes us happy. their name is enough to make us smile a little, so we don't really need any kisses or cuddles. when our fingers accidentally touch, we quickly write it down in our journal while grinning broadly. unrequited love isn't as horrible as people make it out to be, to be honest. this kind of love is dumb, unconditional, and selfless at the same time. <3
