Khuda Hafiz 🖤🥀
As a four year old child, I was taught to bid someone a "Good-bye" while they were leaving us. I have always been curious about are all "Good-byes" really good and happy? I have seen many souls departing their beloved ones with broken hearts but still saying a "Good-bye". For me, "Good-bye" is an overrated word which people just use to end some unwanted conversations or relations. I would bid someone a "Good-bye" only if I had known that it was going to be our last meet.
And that's when I discovered a golden word- "Khuda Hafiz". It's an Urdu word with a lovely meaning. It means "God may protect one". This word doesn't haunt me about not getting to meet someone again instead, it assures me about their health and prosperity.
Till today, I have let many people go out of my life without a "Good-bye". But today, I want to wish a "Khuda Hafiz" to my childhood friends with whom I lost contact due to this busy, materialistic world, to my best friends who left me for someone else, to my old crush who didn't have any idea about my feelings for him, to the guy who understood me more than myself but couldn't stay forever with me, to that online friend of mine with whom I never got a chance to meet in person and we lost contact slowly and to my favourite teacher at school who loved me like her own child. Lastly, I want to wish a "Khuda Hafiz" to the old me who had no idea how to deal with this self-centred world.
